Workers on Vila Verde have not been paid for the past 6 months and the unions are recommending action be taken !!!

With the legal system out there being none existing where would that leave VVLG now ? Has the time for taking action past ?

This is old news now, new to you maybe, so perhaps you might finally accept how out of touch you are. This has been discussed on our forum all week, but nice that you now bring it to our attention!

I do hope that there is plenty of truth in it all, however I understand that the workers have now been paid and are back at work. If only this had sent Tecnicil under (as you've been saying will happen for several ears now!) we could then organise our new management to take over without any legal fuss!

Sal: Workers of Vila Verde Resort has received their outstanding wages
The Vila Verde Resort has already paid its workers two months of salary that were in arrears. Tired of waiting for the payment of salaries for March and April, the workers of this tourist resort, on the island of Sal, reacted swiftly by activating the syndicate to intercede with the company and submit a notice to strike.
After receiving the document announcing the strike for this weekend, Friday and Saturday, making impossible to carry out a show scheduled for Saturday, 8th, the direction of tourist complex hastened to pay their debts to the employees.
Workers ensure that the situation had severe contours missing money up for food, diapers and to honor the monthly commitments as payments of rents, electricity and water. They are happy with the payment of the arrears but warn that the fight continues.
"We are still in negotiation to ensure the payment at the end of each month so that this does not happen again, staying three months without receiving", states the source to Semana Online at a time when we should be receiving the salary of May that is still pending.
The direction of the tourist resort of belonging to Tecnicil Hotels and Resorts has struggled with financial difficulties for some time now that wage delays are frequent.

They were lucky, I know a brickie in Belfast who wasn't paid for a few weeks,and he was fed up asking for them, so he got into the site one night and done enough damage that itll take weeks to build back up.

maybe I should go over and knock down a few walls as they still own me over 30k.
