For the next 12 months Cape Verde will take on the role of president of the Business Council of the Portuguese-Speaking Community (CPLP) and has chosen to prioritize the promotion and development of micro, small and medium-sized companies. The Cape Verdean presidency will be held by vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Sotavento (CCISS), Paulo Lima.
With this one year term, Cape Verde plans to garner technical and financial support for projects in those business segments from international bodies, in order to make them more competitive.
The nomination of Paulo Lima was unanimously accepted, in a general meeting held last week in Lisbon. |
