The first commercial intercontinental flight to Praia will land Sunday morning at 11:55 am in the recently opened Praia International Airport.....
The TACV Cabo Verde Airlines flight will arrive from Portuguese capital Lisbon, carrying Portuguese journalists, tourist company and travel agency officials, representatives of partner airlines and members of Cape Verdean associations in Portugal, in addition to regular passengers.
The landing of the TACV aircraft will be the high point in the official opening of Praia International Airport, which began operations on October 6 with a flight from the island of Sal.
In addition to the links between the Cape Verdean and Portuguese capitals, Praia International Airport will also receive flights directly from Fortaleza (Brazil) and Paris (France). Flights to Boston (US), Munich (Germany), Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Las Palmas/Madris (Spain) will continue to depart from Sal’s AmÃlcar Cabral International Airport.
