Portuguese airline SATA Air Açores will fly to Cape Verde beginning on November 1, operating tourist company Soltrópico’s charter flights. The contract has already been signed, and SATA will replace Soltrópico’s current provider, EuroAtlantic, whose aircrafts are no longer adequate for charter operations to Cape Verde.
Soltrópico released a communiqué affirming that SATA Air Açores’ aircrafts, an Airbus A320 and an Airbus A310, “give it the versatility necessary to accompany the variation in passenger flow during the various seasons in the year.” The new operation will be weekly, with additional flights during the high season. The flights will always take place on Fridays during the night during the winter season on the Airbus A320, which has a 165-passenger capacity. During the end-of-the-year holiday season, the route will be supplemented by two additional flights on December 27. Soltrópico has operated charter flights to the island of Sal since April 2004. |
