Minister of Transportation and Infrastructures Manuel Inocêncio Sousa will participate in the Congrès Mondial de la Route, one of the most relevant highway- and road-related meetings in the world, between today and Friday, September 21. The meeting will be attended by government officials from all over the world, who will evaluate the highway sector on an international scale.

According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Transportation, Infrastructures and the Sea, infrastructures such as roads and highways play a highly relevant role in raising Cape Verde’s levels of development.

“This importance,” explains the communiqué, “is certified, for example, by various different international organisms that show how relevant the work of the Cape Verdean government has been in opening the country to the future based on strategic interventions in the realm of the modernization of the country’s roads and highways.”
