ImageThe hotel chain Altis Hotels Portugal intends to expand its operations into Cape Verde, building a hotel on the island of São Vicente. The Altis chain hopes to create a beach resort on the island of São Vicente, with apartments or bungalows, according to administrator Raul Martins.

The business group is analyzing business possibilities in the archipelago and has yet to establish a date for its investments in Cape Verde, but Raul Martins guarantees that Altis plans to become international, and that Cape Verde is one of the areas being studied, according to Portuguese newspapers Jornal de Negócios and Diário de Notícias.

The Portuguese chain’s activities are currently concentrated in Lisbon, where it owns three hotels with a total of 1,200 beds, as well as another three projects in development.
