15/01/07 - Cape Verde on Expedia’s world tourism “Top 10” PDF Print E-mail
ImageCape Verde is one of the ten vacation “hot spots” in 2007, chosen by the clients of tourism Internet portal Expedia.  The British web page revealed the top ten tourist destinations considered to be the best bets for 2007 on Monday, January 8, in a vote open to the users of its services.  The site affirms that “with sun all year round, white beaches and its Creole culture, this group of West African islands has rightly been called ‘the new Caribbean.’”

In addition to Cape Verde, the list also contains two other African destinations: Morocco and Cape Town, in South Africa. In Europe, the destinations selected were Bulgaria, Croatia and Devon County in England.

In Asia, Expedia’s clients selected Vietnam and Chinese capital Beijing, which will host the 2008 Olympics. The other two hot spots were Brazil and the American city of Las Vegas.
