TACV Cabo Verde Airlines has renewed an accord of intentions with Polish operator Itaka for the period running between April and October of this year in order to guarantee the continuation of flights between Cape Verde and Warsaw.

The flights to the Polish capital depart from Sal, where most tourists coming to Cape Verde from Eastern Europe choose to spend their vacations. More than half of the passengers on these flights end up going on to the Brazilian city of Fortaleza, which has direct flights from Cape Verde as well.

TACV’s Marketing Department also issued a press release announcing it is currently in the final phase of negotiating a direct Bissau-Lisbon-Bissau flight with the government of Guinea Bissau in cooperation with Air Bissau International. The new flight route is expected to become available in March.
