The Airports Authority has sent us an update as to the status of the airports in Boa Vista and Sao Vincente. Here are the artists impression of the new airport on Boa Vista.
 We are pleased to be able to update our members for the plans of the Airport Authority in Cape Verde and their plans for expansion and increased capability to accept international flights. About sao vicente is happened in the same way is the turism plus the industries that is make pressure to have an airport international there, in this case i believe are the french, the belgiun, spanish, and other interrests.. the project gonna started at the end of this month, they already sign with the constuctor that going to make that airport ... Santiago is ready missing only been certicate for the civil aviation agency of cape verde, but is case to say that in a few days the airport wil became oparetional.. but in santiago the motives is different I truly believe that the existence of an Int. airport there only happening because santiago is a business place, and if cape verd want to became in a financial centre we want our capitol have to has better ways to comunicate with other place and an international airport is one of then.The plan for boavista is make an airport that can get international flights, so the tourist can make direct flight to boa vista, I believe that the most interest market is italy they are the most interested in the beauty of Boa Vista which they call the new paradise. The projects already started, on 28 on january this year and will be ready, 15 month later so we believe that the opening will be on april 2006, and the firts international flights is going to be most of all from italy, because they are one of the supporter of that project, the group euroturistica, the tour operator viaglio del vetaggio, and they perspective to grow the turism on that island is very very strong.
