The city of Porto Novo, on Santo Antão, now has a fully remodeled and revamped Enacol service station. According to the fuel company, in addition to two fuel pumps and a home gas canister sales point, the service station now has new equipment that will offer lubrication and car-washing services to customers.

In a matter of days, Porto Novo residents and those visiting Santo Antão will also be able to use the service station’s cafeteria and convenience store. “The exterior decoration was carried out by visual artist Manu Cabral, which gives the space his artistic trademark. This is yet another of Enacol’s contributions to the valorization of Cape Verdean artists,” says the company.

As has become the practice with Enacol, environmental defense has also been safeguarded. For example, the service area includes a residual water treatment unit that uses filters to keep hydrocarbons from making their way into the streets.
