10/04/06 - Cape Verde representative in Scotland
ImageThe president of Cape Verde’s investment and tourism promotion agency Cabo Verde Investimentos, Victor Fidalgo, will begin a work trip to Scotland today, Monday, April 10. Fidalgo’s visit is the result of an invitation from one of Scotland’s and the United Kingdom’s largest business groups, FM Development.

The visit is aimed at making contacts and publicizing Cape Verde’s investment climate, and will last until Friday, April 14. Among other things, Victor Fidalgo will discuss FM Development’s strategy for the investments it plans to make in Cape Verde.

Also today, another delegation headed by Avelino Bonifácio Lopes will travel to Portuguese capital Lisbon to participate in the 2nd Business Meeting for Economic Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Language Countries. The two-day meeting is held annually in one of the countries making up the forum and is aimed at tightening economic relations between China and the countries that share Portuguese as their official language.

Alongside Cabo Verde Investimentos administrator Bonifácio Lopes, the delegation will include representatives of Enapor, the Leeward Islands Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, and the firms Meno Soares, Imobitel, Manuel dos Anjos and Fernandes e Ferreira.
