05/10/06 - Cape Verde tipped by The Times

Cape Verde is being tipped as the next big thing in Overseas Property by Peter Conradi, The Times newspaper's property editor. Peter says "You'll hear a lot more too in the next few months about Cape Verde, which is being widely touted as the next foreign property hotspot, now that direct flights are due to start from Britain. Until now, those travelling to the Atlantic archipelago have had to fly via Amsterdam or Lisbon. But on November 2, Astreaus Airlines is due to start weekly flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Sal island. Also next month, Cape Verde-based TAVC Airlines is due to start an alternative route between Birmingham and the capital Praia on Santiago island. The developers are piling into the islands in force.
