ImageCape Verde will participate in London’s World Trade Market, a tourism fair that begins next Monday, November 6. The archipelago is currently considered by Britons to be one of the most favorable destinations for vacations and second homes. In the trade fair, Cape Verde’s representatives will show the country’s potentialities as the first charter flights between London and Sal prepare to take off.

The Cape Verdean delegation will be headed by Victor Fidalgo, the president of tourism and investment promotion agency Cabo Verde Investimentos, and will include representatives from TACV Cabo Verde Airlines and various travel agencies, hotels and real-estate enterprises.

According to a communiqué from Cabo Verde Investimentos, “Cape Verde’s presence at the London fair is important, considering the growing demand for Cape Verde as a tourist destination for English and other European tourists and businessmen.”

The London Tourism Fair, known as the World Trade Market, saw a total of 24,307 visitors last year, as well as 2,869 journalists and 5,524 stands representing 200 different countries. This year’s edition will last four days.

So far this year, Cape Verde has sent representations to tourism fairs in Lisbon, Madrid, Milan and Berlin.
