ImageThe town of Santa Maria on the island of Sal will host the National Union of Cape Verdean Tourist Operators’ International Tourism Meeting between October 18 and 20. The event, the first edition of which took place in Mindelo in June 2005, will be hosted by the Sal municipal chamber and will have as one of its guests the National Association of Cape Verdean Municipalities. Sustainability, public-private partnerships, institutional consolidation: the secret of tourist development” is the theme The National Union of Cape Verdean Tourist Operators (UNOTUR) has chosen for this second edition of the event.

The meeting will be made up of seven panel discussions with a wide range of speakers, commentators and moderators. The objective, according to a press release, is to “provide authorities, investors, and all of those interested in the industry in Cape Verde with an investigative opportunity that leads to the sustained development of tourism in the country.”
