Spanish group Riu Hotels & Resorts on 6 May is due to open Riu Touareg, the group’s fifth hotel in Cape Verde, located on Boavista island, according to the trade press.
The group already operates two hotels on Sal island and another two on Boavista. This fifth hotel will be based on a new concept, which involves separate “adults only,” "family and children” and “classic” areas.
Riu Touareg located by the sea provides its guests with a white sand beach and all the necessary equipment for windsurfing, kayaking and diving, as well as fresh and salt water swimming pools.
Riu Hotels & Resorts was founded in 1953 as a small family business with a single hotel in Palma de Mallorca, and now has 102 units, after undergoing an internationalisation process that began with the Riu Taíno hotel, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. (macauhub)
